Name of dual degree program: TMU and Georgia State Universit_ Dual Master's Degree Program

Degree to award: Master Degree.

Duration of the study in the partner country: 12 months

Language requirement: English

Units involved in Program: Master Program in School of Medical Laboratory Science and Biotechnology (TMU)

Tuition: US$10,000 (including a deposit for research assistantship which will be given during the study)

Application schedule: Fall: June 1; Spring: October 15

Selection criteria: TMU students are required to submit TOEFL iBT (minimum 79/120) or IELTS (minimum 6.5/9) scores in order to prove English language proficiency.

Number of places: 10

Application forms: Transcripts of all past academic performance; Statement of Purpose; Official scores on the TOEFLor IELTS; Three letters of recommendation (two of which need to be academic references)

Program courses/credits transferable: Up to nine (9) credits of appropriate graduate courses may be transferred to Georgia State toward the respective Master’s degree. 

Program introduction: Georgia State's Master of Science (M.S.) in Biological Sciences is designed to offer a flexible program to suit students with a wide variety of interests in biology. In addition to the general program, concentrations are offered in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Research. Upon admission, a master's student is assumed to be non-thesis until acceptance into the thesis option. The non-thesis program emphasizes coursework, and a capstone paper or project is required. The capstone can either be literature-based or laboratory-based. The thesis option is only recommended for students who are planning to pursue a Ph.D.
